  • Ride Across Wisconsin

I am thrilled to share that since 2022, I have been an active participant in the Ride Across Wisconsin (RAW) and have raised an impressive $635.00 for the Wisconsin Bike Fed.

RAW's primary goal is to further the mission of the Wisconsin Bike Fed, which is to cultivate, motivate, and unite a strong community of residents, businesses, and political leaders to advance bicycling throughout Wisconsin. This is achieved through various means, including education, legislation, and active involvement in promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation.

Mark your calendars for August 19th to August 20th, 2023, as we embark on the 8th Annual Ride Across Wisconsin. This year, we have an exciting new route stretching 235 miles from La Crosse, WI to Milwaukee, WI. Whether you prefer a one-day challenge or a two-day adventure, we offer route options suitable for riders of varying abilities. And in 2023, we are introducing a new all-road option that covers the entire state, in addition to our popular mixed-surface route.

Throughout the ride, you can expect fully supported rest stops strategically located at quintessential Wisconsin landmarks and locations. These stops provide much-needed respite, nourishment, and a chance to connect with fellow riders. By participating in RAW, you not only experience the beauty of Wisconsin's landscapes and communities but also contribute to the invaluable work of the Wisconsin Bike Fed.

Join us in this remarkable event that combines the joy of cycling with the support of a vibrant cycling community. Together, we can make a difference in advancing bicycling in Wisconsin while enjoying a memorable and fulfilling ride.

  • Aids/LifeCycle

I am proud to share that since 2020, I have actively participated in the AIDS/LifeCycle, a remarkable 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Throughout this incredible journey, I have personally raised an impressive $9,695.65 in support of two remarkable organizations:

    San Francisco AIDS Foundation:

The San Francisco AIDS Foundation is dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and social justice for communities most affected by HIV. Through their comprehensive sexual health and substance use services, advocacy efforts, and strong community partnerships, they strive for a future where health justice is accessible to all individuals, regardless of their race. Their vision encompasses a world where substance use is destigmatized, HIV status does not determine one's quality of life, and HIV transmission is eradicated. To learn more about their invaluable work, visit sfaf.org.

    The Los Angeles LGBT Center:

Since 1969, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has been an unwavering beacon of support, care, and celebration for LGBT individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond. With nearly 800 dedicated employees, they offer an extensive range of programs, services, and global advocacy initiatives in four core categories: Health, Social Services and Housing, Culture and Education, and Leadership and Advocacy. Their mission is to empower LGBT people to thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society, relentlessly fighting against bigotry and striving to build a better world.

AIDS/LifeCycle serves as a monumental collaboration between the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, both of which benefit from this incredible event. Our dedicated teams ensure that your focus remains on pedaling those miles, taking care of all the logistical aspects throughout the year. From training opportunities and fundraising events to ensuring you have the essentials like water and properly inflated tires at the starting line, we've got you covered.

This extraordinary event not only raises awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic but also generates funds to support critical services such as HIV testing, prevention, and care, among many others. Since its inception in 1994 as the "California AIDS Ride" and rebranded as AIDS/LifeCycle in 2002, participants like myself have collectively raised over $300 million for the HIV and AIDS-related services provided by the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

I invite you to join us on this impactful journey of compassion, resilience, and community. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS.
